May 5th 2009: Comic Pie 2: Tales From The Crust is now available for pre-order (available mid-May). If you'd like a copy or three, click on the main image to send me a request. A rather low-tech system, I know, but I'll get a proper shop set up shortly!

March 3rd 2009: Strip-A-Day Spectacular 2 is over (click here to read the strips) but it will live again in dead tree form as Comic Pie volume 2 - watch this space for more news about that!

February 1st 2009: Strip-A-Day Spectacular 2 begins! Slick on the big 'ol logo on the right to go to the Strip-A-Day page!

Hello! My name's Laura, and I'm a comic artist/writer and illustrator. Against all the odds, I actually make a living from it. If you're in the UK you can see my work every week in The Beano, or if you're elsewhere, you might have caught me in books or magazines. Oh, did I mention I'm an award-winning Manga creator too?

So, make yourself comfy, take a look around, and drop me a line if you'd like to discuss what I could be drawing for YOU.

May 5th 2009: Well hello again - just a quick note to say I'll be around at the Bristol Comics Expo this coming weekend, if anyone wants a sketch or anything. What sort of anything? Well, how about a copy of COMIC PIE 2, as seen right above us there? That's right, I shall (hopefully, depending on the Royal Mail!) be premiering this fine publication at the Expo, along with reprinted stock of Comic Pie 1 and a few other bits and pieces besides. I don't have an actual table this year, but I'll be taking part in the Draw the World Together charity sketching event on Saturday afternoon in the Ramada. It's all for a good cause, so do come and fork out for a sketch, won't you?

March 27th 2009: Ah me, how things can change in just a few short months. Last time I updated the News box, it was to announce the Mighty M's arrival in The DFC last November - today, it's to announce that The DFC is officially deceased in its present incarnation as of today. Curse you, Credit Crunch! CURSE YOOUUU!!! But the M will live on, whether as short stories or the planned 24-pager that would have happened this year in the DFC/Guardian if things hadn't gone quite so pear-shaped. Watch this site, and also the new DFC contributors' blog for more news on that as it happens.
